55th Street Oakland Live/Work

Live/Work Oakland Historic Building

Project Description

This project proposes a conversion of an abandoned masonic temple building in the Bushrod district in Oakland into six market rate live/work units, a common lobby, and exterior decks for each unit at the backyard side. The historic architecture and materials of the exterior were inspiration for the facade modernization, which includes the use of brick and addition of a brick screen to filter light into the common lobby.
